Sometimes I think sitting on trains
The “Great Movie Scenes” chosen by Scott & Jesse, rely on the music being in harmony with the images to bring out the emotion in the scene.. Okay, okay I know “Slum Dog Millionaire” has it’s faults and it’s no “Solaris” and I do agree with there’s too much “poverty porn” but I enjoyed the film immensely. This scene with the children on the train, just goes perfectly with M.I.A’s “Paper Planes”, those of us with longer memories will recognize that M.I.A sampled Straight to Hell by The Clash to great effect..
The DFA remix of “Paper Planes” from the Slumdog Millionaire Soundtrack, has the big DFA sound, some catchy hooks and a serious groove:

I enjoyed the film as well Simon. I believe tat sometime we should just accept a film for what it is, entertainment and not look for more, hidden meanings, allorgeries etc. Its works as good clean family entertainment, with a love interest, with a small insight into the slums of India. If people want to explore more they can, I found Mclouds C$ programmes most interesting and thought provoking.
Re the music, this 50 year old certainly enjoyed the groove. I don`t know if that a recomendation or criticism!
Paul It’s a recomendation, you know you’re music onions.. I just hope you’re enjoying the new music on the blog!
