Hi Everyone, welcome to my new blog “Touching from a Distance”, in case you didn’t know the title is taken from a line in “Joy Division’s” masterpiece “Transmission”.  The blog aims to be an on-line scrap book of popular culture, covering music, film, art, books, magazines, photography, theatre and any other stuff I find interesting. But NO party politics, I’ve had enough of banging my head against a wall over and over again… There will be lots of guest contributors, some of whom actually know what they’re talking about.

So lets kick off with a classic live version of “Transmission” from BBC2’s “Something Else” with bit of added Tony Wilson “Touching from a distance, Further all the time ”
